heat insulation

I nearly burned my little tootsies off on the last outing. The floor heat is unbearable, and the missus refuses to ride in the car anymore. Snyders and Macs sell an insulating sheet, which looks like foil with something sandwitched in between. Are these products any good, and what brand insulation have you used to take care of this issue?

I used the same stuff you describe in our motorhome for the heat. I purchased it at one of the Home improvement stores. It works good.

Yep my wife said the same thing in my speedster . I took the floor boards out and place a 032 sheet of aluminum underneath the car and added the foil hot rod stuff to the top side and then had a snap in carpet with pad to put on that , we have driven lots of miles with no problem....

You might also be running too lean and the spark not advanced enough. A little richer mixture and more advance on the spark might help cool things down with the misses.
