headliner and windlace

I'm going to be installing a new headiner and also new windlace in my 47 coupe soon. Which goes in first, the headliner or the windlace? I beleive the rear window has to be removed, but does the windshield have to come out too?-------------thanks

The windlace goes in first.
The windshield MOLDINGS need to be removed but not the windshield. The rear window needs to be removed.

In addition to the other good information make sure the tack strips for the windlace are in good condition. If they will not hold a tack or staple they need to be replaced. There's nothing worse than putting in windlace and a year later it starts to pull loose because the tacks will not stay in the old tack strip.
