headlight switch

I was at a local car show today. A gent was admiring my 31 Tudor Dlx. He stated that he was working on a Victoria. He commented that he liked the headlight/cowl switch on the steering wheel and that he wished that his was not plastic. He said that the tube and the spider were metal, but the one that he got from Macs used a plastic chrome switch. I never heard of that. Is he right? Are Brattons and Snyders making them in plastic? Ron

That's what I thought, but he said he asked Brattons and although he was a bit vague said they were plastic also. ???

I got my switch from Snyders not to long ago. It's not plastic.

I couldn't believe this... BTW, how would you match a Butler finish on plastic? They are, as he said, bright chrome. That really stinks on a 31 that uses the nickel/ satin finish.
