Headlight lens

I'm wanting just the small glass lens that is on the bottom of the headlight bezel. I do not need the bezel or the sealed beam lights. If you have the small glass lens you can PM me or send me an email @ jlecure@att.net. I would be interested in them.

I have a '37 with the sealed beam conversion available in 1940. The good: Sealed beam is brighter and more focused and consistent with cars on the road today. In 1940 I would imagine the trade off of looks and functionality leaned toward the latter. Now, (Not necessarily the bad) the looks of the car have more importance. I soften the look of the conversion by attaching small visors with a blue glass gem. Not quite as ugly. This is until a '37 original headlight set up comes my way.

I've heard that from several who have a 37. I only have a 55. I'm only trying to find the small glass lens on the bottom portion of the bezel. A couple people have them that they do not want or need so I hope I can still get them. I make a lot of automotive items using parts from all kinds and years of cars or trucks. Anywhere from the 30's thru 57. Biggest problem is I give them to my car buddies for their "man caves" so I'm actually losing money. Can't stand to sit idol or watching this election so I like to keep busy. Hopefully those who have the little curved glass lens will let me get them. If that was your car pictured on your page it's really nice, I like it.

I have some if the other deal doesn't work out. Cheap

You might want to go with him off the bat, as I am going to have to go look for my set in my storage barn. Not readily accessible. I will be getting over there next week some time. But if you cannot wait, go with Chuck by all means.

Thanks Tony

Here they are. I found them.

The lens parts are in pretty good shape. They match too.

These were installed on my car in the 1940s.
I have the service ticket.
The second owner paid $15 for the conversion and new wiring.

I will PM you.

TonyM.

Like I said, I just found out I could get them yesterday. The person sold them to me very reasonable at a cheap price, which I appreciate. I don't make anything because I give them away at no cost to anyone. I probably have around $60 invested in just one project. I do it for fun and rehab due to an old Vietnam injury. I make clocks out of 37, 55, 56 Ford headlights, also 57 Chevy ones or any that are unique or interesting. By the time I purchase the headlight bezel ($20-$25), all the clock parts ($20), rounded glass curved domes ($20), repair to damaged headlights, painting, buffing, and my time add up quick. If yours were the same price, I probably would have bought them also. Just can't afford to pay double the price when I give things away. I appreciate you looking for them and the time you spent and driving, our timing and price were just off I guess.

Here are some of the clocks I make for friends and family. Don't make a dime since I give them away. That's why I need to buy parts cheap like the glass lens, etc. 37 Ford after market bezels, 40 Ford, 57 Chevy.

Reminds of the joke about the "Presidential clock" from the Bill Clinton era where some suggested it needed a face put on it.

Those clocks are a great idea that any automotive buff would appreciate.
