Headlight adjustment.

I installed the 6volt quartz light kit that includes the reflectors. My coupe came to me with the sealed beam headlight conversion. So I bought the whole kit and had an extra set of lenses. My problem is the buckets angle up alittle so my lights are too high. Since the kit doesn't use the stock adjusting screw is there any way to point the buckets down more. It appears that they aren't adjustable where they mount on the bar? They will go left and right but not up and down.

The bucket mounting bolt can be loosened and the bucket tilted down. If it hasn't been moved for 80 years, it might be stuck, but with the nut loose enough you should be able to shake it loose.

Thanks guys, I loosed it but it seemed to be like a ball and socket and didn't want to move up or down. As soon as I moved it , it moved back when I tightened it up. I will take it completely out and see what it looks like.

It's a rectangular slot and the mounting bolt has a square to keep it from spinning. You have to grab the bucket and rotate it so the bolt moves in the slot. Grab the bucket at the top and bottom and try to move the top forward and the bottom rearward.

Not the best pic for this topic but you can see it if you study the pic.
