Headgasket rework

Greetings all,
Could you Would you enlarge the water passages on a headgasket? It would make sense to increase water flow. Or is this the wrong tree to bark up?

some late model gaskets had smaller water passage holes to force the coolant to go to the back of the block, I too often wondered with the modern high flow pumps that this might be unnessary
