Headers for 56 Engine Swap Available!

I purchased my 56 wagon with a 302, AOD and an 8" Spicer drivetrain. The previous owner hacked on the drivers manifold to fit. Never cared for it, especially rubbing up against the upper A arm, steering box and pitman arm.
I've been searching for a proper fix and eventually came across Sanderson Headers out of So. San Francisco. Would you believe they manufacture Headers for a 302 in a 56 Ford?? They fit close to the block and are shorties, being coated now and will arrive shortly. One caveat, they fit better with early model motor mounts? What are early model? and this is difficult to understand but the photo of my mounts was forwarded to them with no comment. Perhaps they don't want to get caught in giving out wrong information.
Anyone with an idea as to what an early mount may be? Rectangle mounts are on the car now and it's a 94 motor....isn't that considered early, today?:)

Early for a 302 would be '68. By '94 there were a lot of changes along with EFI. If Sanderson has a phone number listed, I would try to talk to someone. That's a heck of a risk financially not knowing if the manifolds will fit or not.

Sal thanks for the advice, I'm not familiar with Ford products, yet. I am prepared to raise the motor a bit and swap out if I have to. Looking at 68 mounts, my mounts are very similar. Will know answer in about two weeks. Header price retail: $515. But oh so nice ;)

OK, I hope it works out good for you. Yes, the Sanderson headers are a beautiful piece of work.

Sanderson should know what they mean by early and late model. If they don't, send me a PM, I may know someone who would. Former Sanderson guy, if he's still around.
