I think that I have ask this question here before, but I don't remember.
I am trying to find header gaskets for my 30 coupe with a 292 Y block. I am looking for a true header gasket , not the ones that come in gasket kits for stock exhaust manifold gaskets. you guy's running true headers, where do you get your gaskets? I cannot seem to find a listing for them any where. any help would be appreciated. -----Jim

There's a guy on Epay called Soupysexhaustgaskets that sells gaskets for yblock exhaust. 20$ a set with free shipping. I have a pair on my Reds header manifolds. Been on there 3 yrs with no leaks.

I have had two sets of headers on my 312. No gaskets, and no leaks. Use a bit of sandpaper, or a 3M pad to clean the head. Use a thread chaser to clean the bolt holes.
Make sure the header is straight and clean. Tighten the bolts to about 30 Ft. Lbs.

Thanks Guy's , The only gaskets that showed up on Summit Racing's web site , were for regular exh. manifold gaskets, I did not call them, so they may carry regular header gaskets, if you ask.
Lowrider: those are the ones I was trying to remember, when I was searching yesterday , they did not come up, probably because I could not remember the name of them. I did find that Reds Headers has some at $18.95 a set plus shipping, so I went ahead and ordered them. One of the draw backs about living in Alaska and being a car/ motorcyclist enthusiast is chasing/ finding parts. I hope that this information may also help others in the future.-----Jim
