Header Clock Repairman

Hi Barners,
I have a New Haven 8 day winder header clock that will not stay running. A jeweler friend of mine took it apart. He thinks that it needs a good cleaning and maybe a new Main Spring. Any recommendation of a repairman?
All suggestions appreciated.

Why not ask your jeweler friend to give it a good cleaning and a new mainspring now that he has it apart? ..B.
 
Hi,
My friend oiled it but it does not stay running. He is a jeweler but not a clock repairman. He seems to feel it needs a new Mainspring which he doesn't have. He says at this point it really needs an old clock repair person.

try yellow pages in bristol, thomaston VT, many clocks made there years ago. Also could contact clock museum in Bristol, ct, tthey might be able to refer you to someone. Hope this helps.
