hey joel, i did that a year ago, iv got it written done, but i think the smallest was 62 and the largest was 68, so now there all 68,
its a street engine, so its good for me.

hey ed, yea fresh outta the box, and needing work.

Thanks, I have a new set that I've not checked yet for vol. The valve pocket depths seem to be within ....005" of each other. Another project for winter.

Seems to me that products costing quite a lot of money should come ready to go. I sure dont call a 6cc variation ready to go. You'd really think that a company like Edelbrock would have their sh*t together.

59 ab heads are supposted to be different from side to side , not sure on 8ba . Maybe Ol Ron or JWL or someone else could tell us .
Cheers
Tony

i agree bassman,
i was amazed to see how rough the castings where and how far off the combustion chambers where from one to another.
you shoulda seen the eddie meyers intake i got, omg, talking abought poor castings, wow..
i spent a couple nights port matching that thing..
gotta love it hu ..

Yeh, If you look carefully at the left side valves and compare with the right side valves you'll see that they are at different angles. This is factory design compensation for offsetting the cylinder bores to the left of the crankshaft centerline.
To get equal compression ratios, you also need to cc the area in the block above the piston and in the valve area - needless to say, a tedious exercise.
