We are getting ready to machine the new cast heads for our dragster, does any one the dimensions for the layout of the stud holes,I,m drawing them out so we can drill them on the mill with a digital readout,
I just thought that if I had a drawing I could check my figures.

Yes, I have that information but I wouldn't know how to get it from my CNC mill or from the Ford drawings into something you can use?? Maybe if you figure how to send your info to me I could review it for errors?

JWL, when Ive done my drawing,I will take a pic of it and send that,Thanks Very much,I think that the dimensions in inches NOT metric would be the way.Lawrie

I see under manage attachments we can attach pdfs up to 9.54 Mb - which is a good size drawing file. Freeware such as Draft Sight deals with Autocad style dwg files and these can be plotted to pdf with such handy little programs as Cute pdf.

Attached such, though "OT"

Lawrie, thank you for the "brain teaser". The Ford drawings are dimensioned from the cylinder centerlines. This required significant calculating to get numbers which coordinated with your drawing. There are 4 dimensions correct on your drawing. Obviously several which need corrected. It is too much to cover here. Send me an email and I'll try to get info to you.

Yes we plan to mark them from the gasket with a black felt pen then spot each before drilling them. using KWLs drawing.
If JWL did n,t help us out we would still be dithering about,
He was a BIG help.
