Head light conversion help

nick c: there were 18 posts above with users advice to you. If the new reproduction reflectors don't resemble/focus like originals, and halogen bulbs are better, why did you oreder what you did? Just wondering.

I'm restoring a 29 AA cc. I want to be able to see at night. Should I go with halogen or seal beam conversion? Need you input.
thanks nick

Can we have a third choice?

I see quite well at night with original good silvered reflectors, bulbs, and generator with an EVR inside, to take the place of a third brush. :)

Good focus, aim, and GOOD silvered reflectors are the main things that lead to good lighting. If you start throwing in repro reflectors, sockets, etc. you may wind up with problems like shorts, reflectors that may not focus correctly, etc. Many people try to make up for these shortcomings with brighter bulbs, which take more power.

My first post said I'm restoring a 29AA. This truck probably hasn't been on the road for 30 or 40 years. The head lite buckets have no plating left on them the ring has no plating, thats ok because I will sand blast and paint black. The seal was gone and the inner steel ring gone, the reflector rusted on the outer edge. My fault, I should have made full disclosure of this in my first post, it will not happen again.
thanks nick c

Nick,
If you still have the 6v setup to the headlights, they will easly carry the load but , of course, the connections need to be good.
