Just wondering if it is better to replace head gasket if leaking or try to use stop leak first...number 3 cylinder has water in...I pulled plug and water in the oil.....

Easy to redo head gasket using copper gasket with copper spray. check for cracks in head/block clean surfaces real good, check for flatness, install- proper torque sequence.retorque good to go. better then a temporary fix .

That bad, look for crack from the #3 exhaust to cylinder. Then replace the gasket. I have never had a problem with the BEST gasket with an HC head. I use copper spray, torque it down to 35, 45 and 50, let it sit for a few hours, then down to 55, let settle overnight, torque to 55 again.

Before you do anything, has the head been re-torqued recently? That stops a lot of minor leaks.
