My brother works at a upholstery shop and he says a guy has brought in a Model A. My brother knows nothing about A's but describes it as a coupe. Says it has the tan cloth top which he says isn't made to fold down. Says it has the Landau bars. Sounds like a sport coupe. He says the gentleman that brought it in calls it a "Demon coupe" , has anyone heard of this before? It's in the next town over from me and I'm going to try to get over for a pic or two. Be interesting to see a "Demon coupe".

I've worked on a Model A the owner seriously believed was possessed by an evil spirit. He was having continuing problems with the car and when he brought it to me the current problem was the engine. I did not put a lot of stock into his belief of it being possessed. During the process of the re-build and subsequent break-in of the engine, that darn engine and car fought me all the way. It seemed to not want to leave my shop. By definition, it was clearly a "DEMON = A persistently tormenting....force...."
So yes...there could be a Demon coupe at the upholstery shop! I know they exist as I’ve worked on one!

Hopefully the demon is in the works and nay the outer covering. If your brother and his peers are good trimmers, it should be a fun project. There is a lot to putting a top back on a Sport Coupe model but there is some good information out there if they need some instructions to go by. With out experience and no guides to go by, it could be a little demon at that. Resto-Demons be gone!
