I'v spotted a 26 original T runabout with top, side curtains and rear mount spare tire. it is top condition; nothing is non '26 and it is all ford parts; not restored ............ it is original. unmolested. I am not talking acccording to the T restoration manual, this is my opinion. Ive got a model A, '37, 40,

all comments appreciated; i am trying to ball park estimate it.

TModelMan:

For a nicely preserved original, with with 85-year-old factory paint? Can you get me a 1911 Torpedo in the same condition for twice the money?

Wow!

Apples and oranges. No relation at all between a brass car price and the value of a very late tin T. Actually I thought that Tmodelman's price was on the high side. These late T's really aren't worth that much.

The condition of "original, unmolested" cars can really vary. I would have a knowledgeable person look at it, and research auction prices.

I found out the hard way that what you have to pay to get it, what you insure it for, and what you have to take to get rid of it in a reasonable amount of time are three very different numbers.

Yep...you have to look at the car to really know.

The first picture is what everyone's mind thinks of when hearing of an Improved Ford runabout as "original, unmolested"

The second picture is what the old Ford really looks like :). This pic I took after calling and the owner told me its 'all original, never messed with'!
