hard starts on cool days

i have a 1926 coupe hard starting runs battery down on cool days

Check coils,timing and clean timer .

Is the humidity high? Dew everywhere? If so, maybe a film of dust on the spark plugs or wires is collecting moisture and shorting out the spark.

Are you opening the mixture 1/4 turn to start? Did you choke it properly to start? What do you do to start and what does the car do when you try to start it.
