Today is my birthday ( no happy birthday messages needed ).
My thoughts are enjoy old age as many people were not given the chance. I may be legally blind but I can still see my grandchildren and my Model A's ( some people are totally blind. I may not be able to walk very well but I can walk to my Model A's to have my wife take me for a ride ( some people can't walk at all but are confined to a wheel chair ). I may not be able to hear very well but I can still hear the grandchildren say Grandpa I love you - it don't get better than that !
So in closeing I am a very lucky person..I am not in the health I was 40 years ago but still lucky enough to enjoy life every day.
Thank you Barners and please take the time to count your blessings. May God Bless each of you !

I to follow in similar shoes, fortunately I have family and friends near by to help me in my daily tasks. I have a shop in my yard that lets me Puts with my projects. And yes I have the Ford Barn to help others.
 
I wish that I have such as wonderful attitude towards life when I get up in years or for that matter at an age. You certainly are a role modle. Happy Birthday and many more.

Yep! it's enlightening to read your positive outlook! Yes, I, also can't do some things I used to do, like install huge crown mouldings in the kitchen with 17, yes! 17 mitered corners!! BUT I'm thankful that I can still see, hear, walk like a duck, do my own cookin', p** well, and most of all, I CAN DRIVE MODEL A'S LIKE A MADMAN! Bill W.
 
Yes sometime you have to step back and look at life.
I have a mate who died last month,and another who has mesotheleoma,.
When ever I have what I perceive to be a drama ,I think of them,

No grandkids, out of work for 3 1/2+ years, two kids who I tink still "love" me, a wife who tolerates me (40 yrs this Nov) a dog, two cats, house and cars paid for, most of my health and health ins AND my A.

When I think I have it bad I think of my brother how was in a chair from a car accident , he was 15 lived until he was 28 when he was takin from us from bleeding of his brain, and my beautiful wife surviving a heart attack at the age of 40 which came apawn her for no reseason. I to count my blessing and thank god everyday I'm here and I'm only 45. Pete

Thanks, I think we all need to be reminded life is good and we need to thankful for what we have and not dwell on the negative. You just made the quote of the day for my high school class.
