I have a nice 34 Grill shell, it has some small surface scratches ,probably from a tarp or cover on the car , was there when I got the car, how do I get them out , what product or polish is best for removing them , thanks Barners ..

Semichrome is a very mild abrasive. It is what my paint guy uses.
You might get one of these kits that people use for buffing paint. The key is to get paint a little warm.Good luck.

Is it stainless? Don't know the years and paint or not or? If it's stainless, you can get a buffing wheel (on a drill or bench grinder) and use jeweler's rouge. It comes in different colors for different materials to polish. You can use very fine for small scratches.

Unless it's a truck shell, it's chrome over regular steel. Pickups are painted in which case you'd cut and buff like normal paint. 3M make a good cutting compound.
