Green Paint for '39

I plan to paint my pickup in the not too distant future but have some trim pieces I want to paint now, such as windshield frame, so that I can put my new glass in.

Is there a correct green paint for a '39 pickup available in a spray can?

No, I would not think that the correct formula is available in a spray can.

Your best bet is to find an area of original paint color on your truck, such as inside of glove box, under headlight stand, door jamb, etc. and take it to someone to match it for you.

Steve, My take is rattle can primer, color or clear is of poor quality compared to professional paint. I think you can get the correct color from Bill Hirish if I remember correctly. Buy enough to do the entire truck, you can always mix up small amounts. The paint will keep well for a good wile, keep it warm with a tight lid. Ken

Thanks gents. There is a place that puts automotive paint in spray cans near me but they wanted an ungodly amount of money to do it. I was hoping for something easy and cheap but it sounds like that ain't gonna happen!
