Ok, I have vinegar sitting in the engine's water jacket and its bubbling away.
How long should I leave it in there and do I need to neutralize it other than flushing with water?

thanks!
Alan

Some fellows on the EV8 board leave it in for about a week, and drive it. Not sure, but flushing good (both regular and backflush should be enough. Also might try baking soda to neutralize it.

Just drive it. do it again drive it, then just flush with good distilled water .agree above but I'd say no to the baking soda. my take on it. let us know how it does.

I'm not able to drive it. The radiator is not on it, but I can start it to warm it up.
I left the vinegar in the water jacket for eight hours and then flushed it. It seemed to stop bubbling and I have a slow leak I need to fix. What came out was not as dirty as I expected. It was just slightly tinted and with some sediment, but I thought it would be darker/dirty-er.
I guess I'll leave it in longer next time.

Eight hours is not really long enough. Try using a power washer to flush it out. It should clean your radiator too.
