Moving right along now.. Just painted the frame. Used Satin Rust Olem. Came out nice. All new components plus a rebuilt 63 F100 9 in. 3:55 for the freeway. Now to get my buddies over here to get the cab & bed on.Ken

Wow! Looks great and what a nice clean shop! The truck looks great too. It looks like a 3 window coupe with a bed!

Ken, was your frame that clean and smooth or did you have to fill it in first before painting?

It looks like factory and is sharp - nice job!

I did research on Eastwood frame paint& Por-15. I tried the Rust Olem and thought it looked correct so i went with that.I just cleaned the frame with a wire brush and mineral spirits.I used a gun with a cap full of acetone to thin. Very happy with the results. Thanks for the comments.Ken

Hey Ken, when you were cleaning your frame with the wire brush, did you find the Ford serial number stamped on it somewhere? I need to find the one on my '49 F1 frame, and could use any help. BTW, your painted frame looks great!

Fork, funny you mentioned that..i did not find a serial #. I looked on both sides near the steering box area where it should be but no avail.
