Got bored with the Model AA recently.

Scott,

That is really "Cool" ... nice job.

I see that you removed what looks like a steel door from the lower left "quarter panel" I take it was an unauthorized change.

Any idea what was its' purpose was? I will bet that there is a story behind that door!

Maybe a US Mail drop door?

That should make a dandy ' house trailer' to pull behind your AA. You'll definitely be the center of attention wherever you go!

Looks great!

It's nice to see old rail cars being preserved. When I was stationed at Fort Bliss I'd drive to Anthony NM to visit some girls, and along the way was a large building with a roof and no sides. Turns out it was a smelter to melting the railroad passenger cars after they set fire to the interiors and let them burn out. Sad to see what has happened to passenger service in this country.

BTW, if you could find a SOUTHERN CRESENT LIMITED to park in front it it, that would be the crowning jewel.:)

Very nice !
Just curious , how does one get a RR car in their back yard or where ever ---how do you move it ?

I pulled it to my backyard with my Model A!!!!

This one sits in a small park next to our RR crossing in town. It was donated by the RR when it was retired, and placed there with a crane.
