Got a call last night......

Jack '29 Sport Coupe

Well-known member
....from a friend out west who just bought a '29 Sport Coupe---my kind of car! Anyway, he turned it over to a mechanic to get it running. The mechanic had tried everything including points, plugs, you know the drill..... The way the malfunction was described to me prompted me to ask about the lines going into the sediment bowl and
the carb. Yep, you guessed it, they were jammed all the way in. Car started and ran----immediately. It always helps to have gas going to the
right places, lol. I suggested to my friend that he search for a Model A
mechanic for future mechanical needs-----not just any old mechanic! LOL

Jack :D

Jack,

Sometimes they the most simplest problems take hours to find...been there, done that.

I remember when I was a neophyte in this hobby...Car would not start, if it did it would sputter, start then quit. I bet I cleaned and adjusted that carburetor 20 times. All the while it was a bad condensor.

Jack, If he's in Southern California, I might be abel to give him some recommendations of who he can take the car to.
