Repairing 2 carbs..in the throttle when the butterfly is closed there are two tiny holes. What are their functions please. Also, in one carb, when the butterfly is closed only one hole is esposed? On the second carb, when butterfly is closed two tiny holes are exposed? Which are correct and what are there functions please. thanks for the help to the helpless/josh

Josh,
I may be wrong but I always thought they were to give the carb a little air even when the choke is completely closed.

Thanks Pete: I was of same thought.. but what I don't know is if the butterfly is closed should one of the small holes show above the butterfly or should both show???? I have two carbs and one shows on one carb and two show on the second one. /Josh
