I am looking for a good solid rear axle - good taper and fair key way, but
the threads can be junk or totally missing from the axle. This is not for
a service replacement, but I am planning on making a fixture to use in my lathe for facing hubs, boring out bearings and drum facing. I only need
about 16 to 18 " of shaft and I plan on drilling out the threaded end for
a locking attachment / quick removal. Thanks, Steve
