good idle...no rpm

Sorry, I should add that compression is 125# in each cylinder......vacuum is 10" steady on a no start crank..and 19" very steady at idle of 600...at least it was when it started, which it refuses to do right now... also, I have a pressure valve and fuel pressure gauge...it is pumping at 2#...the carb is a Holley 94....Matt in Alameda

Matt you have so many non-stock changed items on there its hard to figure out whats the matter with it. ????? ken ct.

You also cannot buy a exact replacement NEW made carb for that model. They are the 8BA type that are being sold. You will not have all the hookups that the #59 has. ken ct. Nothing wrong with a 75 yr old rebuilt carb if done right. OMO.

Matt before i would buy a new or rebuilt carb i think i would take the carb that you know was good before you put it on your car and put it back on a car that is running good and see if it still works. If it does , then the carb is not the problem If it doesnt work it proaably is dirt in the tank and lines and that carb will need cleaned. marv

Maybe you should work with one of us instead of spending more money ,If you can answer yes or no then we can take you onto the next thing to look at ,For instance what color is the spark of the plug lead when cranking ??? yellow or blue .or does it have any ,??
