Got my new leather seats back for the upholstery shop today for my 29' Tudor. They look great in the car and ride well. Had big pockets sewn in the back of the front seats to hold my repair books and some tools and they are nice. Just got a rebuilt tilly carb so I took her on a hour cruise. Car runs like a dream. Got her up to 50 for just a sec on the new rebuilt motor and she didn't miss a beat and had more to give but new rebuilt motor so I took her easy. Climbed pretty step hills going 45. Came back and flushed the radiator and filled her up with antifreeze. I'm feeling good and all is dandy. Had the window down while driving, so I was going to spray the car down right quick while I had the hose out filling the radiator up so I rolled the front window up. I soon as I let go of the door, I knew what I had done but to late. Busted window. I have yet to put the top window cap on the door window frame and I rolled the window to high and shut the door causing the window to hit the top inside door jam. This is very bad for two reasons: 1. The next thing I was going to do was put those on because I had found the screws. 2. This is the second time I have done this within the past two months!!! So now I will have about $300.00 in the front drivers side window. Can't blame anyone but myself however. So let this be known to anyone restoring or replacing front side windows. Always put the front door window top caps on right after replacing the glass. DO NOT WAIT. Real easy to roll the window to high without the top cap stop and shut the door and bust the glass.
