Goat shearing

[Dave Mellor NJ]

quite a setup

[Bruce of MN]

The animal looks kind of sheepish at that treatment.

[nkaminar]

Oiled wool. What an idea.

I would like to see the contraption that he has hooked up tot eh rear tire to power that thing.

Gotta get that mohair for the car's interior

[Keith True]

Looks like there are three shears hooked up to that car.Shearing one at a time only works if you just have a couple dozen sheep.

Maybe just a belt around a bare rim and the adjuster on the other wheel set tight?

[AYooperA]

Another great picture. A rare action photo with that shearing contraption. Looks to be a mid ‘28 to earlier roadster pickup (yes not the formal name)

[AYooperA]

Or maybe a Touring (Phaeton)?

[Bigsnapper43]

Yes that is a mechanical shearing machine. I never used one we were modern, we had elect.

[old31]

I am sure that that is an OSHA-approved setup.

Honest, I'm just helping that sheep over the fence....

[David in San Antonio]

Alphonse’s neighbor installed a Burtz block with all the goodies and can shear four sheep faster than Al can do a single one.
