Glove Box Door

How far should a '37 glove box door open? Mine doesn't open until level, it's more like 70 degrees or so. Its an original door and the hinge and all look in good clean condition. Thanks, Bill

look at the repro door spring, seems some of them a too small to allow the door to open all the way--had a 35 with the same problem

Actually without the springs it still won't open 90 degrees. It seems to be the limit of the hinge. It's all original and no rust, but not sure if it is supposed to open a full 90 degrees.

I have the dash and the glove box out of the car, so easy to work on.
