Glass scratch repair???

I used a product offered from the Eastwood Company with good results. It came with a pad which you placed a hand drill. The compound mixed with water.

Things not always are how they look!!!!!!!!!!! Back glass came today, took out the old glass, water rubber seal rotten, came out in pieces and chunks. Glass looked strange for some reason plus it wasn't finish glass. Got out the new one, got the rubber seal set and started to put it in, went in and fit well except at the bottom center, kept figuring and thinking why. Finally I said, let me see if I got the wrong piece of glass. Laid the old on top of the new and......................the bottom center of the old glass was slightly cut inward and that the reason why it looked odd, it was self cut glass. Why would there be a slight bow in the window body bottom center?

Needless to say, back in went the old glass with a new rubber seal......I still have the scratches, BTW!!! Might be time for a trade in for a brand new Roadster!!!! :D:D

the bottoms do have a slight curvature.... your best bet is to get the glass cut from a local glass shop from your old pattern......

Well fellas!!!! Success!!! Sarah has new back glass. What a difference too. It wasn't easy either getting the rubber inserted around the open, had to use some WD40 but finally with some help with a plastic spoon I was able to get it inserted properly and it took everything out of me too....literally. I'm spent for at least the next few days but, no scratches, clear and I can see Russia now in my rear view mirror and................it's safety glass too!!!!
