We are now installing new glass in our 1931 tudor. We installed new channels
and glass for the quarter windows. All is fine but now we see that on the outside at the bottom of the glass there is a gap that water can run down into the body.Is there supposed to be a seal of some kind at this area?

Don,
I have been curious for a long time why Ford did not put a seal on the outside of the glass to keep rain water from running down inside the door and/or body? Do you have an answer/opinion about this?
Thank you,
Evan Lewis

Just installed a rubber seal on the front doors of a 1930 Fordor. Don't know about the Tudors but the glass channel has an extra lip that accepts the rubber seal. When the window is rolled up the seal comes up under the window opening and seals out rain and wind. Didn't take any pics but will be doing the rears next. Parts are available from brattons or Mac's.

Thanks to all for the information.I appreciate having this forum to turn to with my questions. We are close to finishing a complete restoration on my 31 tudor and the information here has helped so many times. We live on Cape Breton Island In Nova Scotia and have no model A clubs to turn to for help.
