generator to alternator

Hi Barner's Is there someone that you know of that can convert my 6 volt 34 generator to an alternator? It seems that the parts vendors start at 1938 up.

Try Ed Whitney, (714) 773-1611. He advertises in the V-8 Times and makes no mention of any year limitations.
 
The original 3-brush 48-10000 were usually replaced at some point with the 81A-10000 generator which was a replacement 3-brush starting near the 38 model year. If yours is still the older tapered front bearing type then that is about the biggest difference. The amount of room inside for conversion purposes is essentially the same for all intents & purposes.

In Whitney's conversions, you send him the front and back plates from your generator, and he does the rest.
