I saw where a guy here polarized his generator. But I am not sure just how it was done. Could someone please explain the procedure?
thanks

Take a short piece of wire, use wire to jump BATT terminal to ARM terminal for 2-3 seconds, the wire should be at least as heavy as the car wiring (if the wire is too thin it can get hot and burn you) --I have also used a coathanger, and the handle ends of pliers.
Do not touch either terminal to ground.

Hi, That was me in west. PA I stored my genny fo about 2 years & it wouldn't charge when I reinstalled it so a few guys suggested to polarize it. it worked. Just touch the battery terminal jump wire to the cut out terminal & also jump the cut out to ground & it did the trick. Good luck!
