Generator how come

New to me model A. the generator front cover has a mounting lug on the top 180 degrees from the lug on the bottom mounting to the block. Both holes are the same distance from the housing.

Need a picture, many other than stock generators have been adapted to model A

likewise I suspect a non-standard generator, made to fit

Is this the long tubular generator or the short powerhouse generator of 1928? There were actually four distinctive types of generators in the model A era.
