Don't know why but people prefer the '38&'39 "swan neck" style gear shift levers. Other years do the same thing but don't sell. On the auction site if I list one for $95.00, buy it now it always sell quickly, other years much less demand. It is what it is, don't have any now but when I come across I know what it's worth is.
