Gasoline smell

I keep my T in the garage and lately winds coming from garage door direction blow gasoline fumes inside the house, what was bad.
So I shut off gas at the tank bowl and drained both bowls.
That cut down the smell, but there is still some of it, what I take as tank fumes making it via unsealed cap.
Anybody tried to make better tank vent to clear the fumes?

No because it is a vented system. You could try a cap with no vent hole, but would have to change it to drive the car. They do make a kit to vent the fumes under the car but that might not help much in this case as it would still be vented. If you have a shut off located at the carburetor you should not have to drain the sediment bulb, just run the carb dry when you park it.

Do you have any recommendation for carburetor valve?
My fuel line is already copper, I think 3/8" size, but all I can find are compression valves design for water supply. No clue if they will hold gasoline.

Measured it and it is 1/4" tubing, so I found icemaker valve that would fit and it is all brass, what is good.
But those valves make flow restrictions, so do you think it might create problem?

Side question about carburetor.
When I fully pull the chock, the carburetor will start dripping fuel.
I took it as design prefiling, but is it?

I use an inline ball valve installed in fuel line. Over fill, could be crud keeping the float valve open, missadjusted float, bad float valve.

Going to closest ACE would cost me over 1 hr of time and cost of driving.
Amazon delivered next day for no charge.

After last grocery run, I shut off the fuel at carburetor before entering the garage, so I burned some of it from carburetor while making couple of garage maneuvers.
The gas smell in garage went down very noticeable. You can still smell something, but it is hard to tell what is it.
My other vehicles are diesels.

Check the sediment bulb under the tank. I had a real problem getting mine to seal. It didn't leak enough to drip but was constantly weeping. I took it out and lapped the valve with a little Timesaver and that helped a bunch.
All the Best
