Make sure rotor is pointed at #1 and not opposite #1 as some instructions say. Opposite does not mean away but towards. Heard of this happening.

Guten Abend,

I would like to order the modern ball-type valve from Don Snyders, since only the old cone-style version is available in Germany.
Unfortunately, the pencil-style strainer is currently out of stock. Can the existing old one be modified to fit?

You can't trust Mike's website when it comes to "in stock" or not. You have to call them and ask them.

As I recall, the new valve hole diameter is larger. So to make the pencil filter that fits in the old style valve fit in the new valve body, you have to machine a very small bushing out of brass to adapt between the 2 diameters. Not that hard to do.

When I purchased my newer style gas valve with the hex shape The proper hex shape pencil filters were out of stock so I used my old round pencil filter and used a little JB weld to fill in the hex so it would Seal properly and it works fine!!!
