gas valve thread sealant

Hello, I could use some advice, I'm installing a new sediment/gas valve on my dad's 1927 model T roadster pickup, should I use anything on the threads and if so what.

Don't use Teflon tape... get some PTPF pipe sealant which is Teflon paste or, green plumbers Pipe Dope at the hardware store. ws

I recommend Fuel Lube from Aircraft Spruce, best stuff I have ever used. It not only keeps fuel valves lubed so they can be turned multiple times, but also prevents leaks. Comes in a small tube, which is great for the hobbyist or a 1 pound can for us restoration folks who have too many or is it not enough; toys.

Yellow Teflon tape. It's fuel resistant and available at most any auto parts store. And that's what it's made for.
