Gas tank Wires

Hey i removed the dash plate yesterday dow how do i remove all the wiring from the botom hole under the tank. The spedo cable moves a bit but the rest of the wiring wont budge. Im thinking that when i lift the tank up all the wiring will pull through as you lift up? Does anyone have any ideas?
 
There are 3 things passing through. The speedometer housing once disconected from the speedometer should pull down through the tank. Then there is a wire harness attaching the ampmeter and the ignition. When that is disconected it should pull through as well. The other end of that wire harness is in the terminal box on the firewall. Easily disconted and taken out if you want. The easiest thing to do with the ignition cable is remove it from the distributor and then pull it out from the dash side. That should take care of all the wires etc. from the tank.
 
There is also a temp gage tube what has to be removed start by looking at the water hose at the top of the radiator ( on your car )
 
That temp gauge never worked I cut the wires and through the gauge away im going to replace it with a new one. From the probe pipe forward. Thankfully I had a Termo Quail and it told me i was over heating last summer
