Gas prices

Lowest I've seen here is $1.479, average is more like $1.699. I saw diesel at $2.399, too. Helps to have oil wells and refineries an hour away.

And the food store where I also get gas has rewards points, so last fill-up was actually at $1.399... 10-gallon limit

$1.95 in Florida, but just vacationing for several weeks. I really don't think this is going to last with the government empower

On the "left coast" in the bay area we are seeing $2.45 a gallon at Chevron. I think Costco is $2.37

Roger, you don't say what prices are in Sacto? (do you remember Captain Sacto?) Here in Orland it is about $2.27 for regular.

Has been $1.64 - $1.67 here for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden yesterday several stations jumped to $1.89......no idea why.

Right about $2.00 here now in our downtown, one red light town, of Rising Sun, Maryland. If these prices remain through the summer of 2015, our several planned road trips for this year will be much less costly :).

$1.67 in Tucson.
I remember growing up in Los Angeles in the 6o's gas was always $.26 and if you filled up (10 gal min) you got a free drinking glass, dish or box of laundry detergent. The occasional "Gas War" between two rival stations got the price down to $.19 a gal.

Just filled up here in the metro Detroit MI area, $1.76. Lowest I remember paying was '68 or '69, 26.9 cents a gallon. It was prolly less earlier but I got my license in '66 and it ran about 30 cents at that time. Gas wars would bring it down a few pennies.

Here in the rip-off state of Pennsylvania we are at 2.35 and the new Gov. wants to add 10 cents more tax to make everyone happy I guess. Then I heard the Federal is going to get more tax also. :(

Yesterday at Safeway in Hilo,HI $2.95 cash.I remember paying 17.9 cents a gallon during the mid '60's gas wars in CA.It was a Powerine station on Lakewood Blvd in Downey across from the Ford Plant.

WE are getting close to $1 [AUD] a litre here in Perth, Western Australia. But its a joke as not long ago the barrel price was well over $100 pretty sure it was more like $110. and our cost was around the $1.50 a litre mark .Now the barrel price is well under $50. so we should have been around the 80c a litre mark. Fuel company's rise by the next day if prices go up , if they come down pfft! they do what they want. Our ACCC [anti corruption]here is a toothless tiger.

Well with your gas taxes at 60%+ of the purchase price cutting the price of the gasoline commodity part wouldn't change the total very much . As usual the real profiteer is the government which makes more by far the world over than oil companies. BTW worked for XOM for 32 years.

Lowest I saw it was as a kid in the 60s at Tenneco stations in central Florida for 23.9ct/gallon. $1.50 to fill up a 6 gallon boat motor tank. I remember thinking 59ct a gallon was robbery during the first Arab boycott in the 70s. My 1980 VW diesel burned 99ct a gallon. That was the high point for gasoline $$ for me as when I retired in 20101 I was making 6x what I was in 1980.
