Gas Gauge Removal

I have the locking nut removed, but I'm not able to get gauge out from hole. Hole seems to small.

Have you removed the large outer nut?

gently tap on it or get a pair of channel locks and VERY VERY GENTLY pull on the housing to free it from the gas cork buildup.

careful for not scratching anything that shows.

DO NOT STRIP THE THREADS
DO NOT BREAK THE GLASS LENSE
