Gas Gauge Problems

The little round thing, with the oval hole, that you painted satin black.

It's been almost 20 years since I did the one on my 29 Tudor, but if I'm not mistaken it is aluminum. Anyway it looks the same as when I finished it and I've never polished it. I know the inner and outer nuts need to be nickel plated, but that's all I'm aware of.

Tom,
Steve Plucker wrote this in the above post...it's a GOOD read with GREAT
information! Your shield should be steel, Nickel plated. Check it with a
magnet.

" Go to my website, www.plucks329s.org and there you will find an article I did on the Gas Gauge and related parts for the four years of model A production...It is under Additional Studies."

BTW....Your tap and paint job looks great! Thanks for the help.
