garage lift

Nice Mitch.

I looked at the Challangers and really liked them, but the price was too much for me. I saw your picture of the lift were you position the pads and I like the positioning of the rear ones. I tried it today and I liked it. I used to have the rear arms just in front of the rear running board braces. Your way is a little more stable. Because of the way the frame rises in the back I had to add a 1" truck riser to clear the bottom of the running boards.

I got my Atlas a9koh at Greg Smith for $1,595. I had it installed by them for $600. It took 1 guy with his own forklift 4 hours to set up.

Yea they are expensive but for proffesional shop use its needed... We have 4 of them and one drive on / alignment 4 post .

Regarding the atlas I put it together with a friend at home Basically building it in the stall... The runways were very heavy and had to use little 4 wheeled Dollie / furniture carts to move and position them... 4 hours is about right...

I also added a separate power switch (house light switch) and mounted it in a box connected to the other one that feeds the one on the motor.. I didn't trust the Chinese switch alone because if it energized by itself Lucy (probably cry and **** my depends) would be in my master bathroom... I have 12ft ceilings but bought the extended height model for a few extra bucks..

I also have a 10k two post BendPak lift. Also assembled & installed my buddies 4 post as well. Both have their advantages. For me the two post is best. If you go with the 4 post, get the air powered attachment that slides down the center. This gives you the ability to lift the front or the back axle one at a time to work on wheels, brakes, etc. I would also not recommend storing your vehicle on the 2 post for long periods of time.

Actually one should always add an extra cut off switch for safety on any lift...
The buttons do stick .......
This is my challenger with the safety switch added

Oh and see the dish ::: go to harbor freight and buy 4 of those little magnetic pans. Put one on all 4 sides of the lift,, they are great for holding lug nuts or other items when your working..
