Have a 31 pickup. Started to run hotter than it normaly does. Found that the problem was a restricted after market fuel filter, causing the engine to run lean.

Good tip Jackball. Many of the aftermarket automotive fuel filters are designed for pressurized fuel systems. If you decide to add an inline fuel filter to your Model A be sure that it will allow gas to flow freely.

I like the filters that fit into the shut-off valve. I've found that they are usually good for about 10 years.
