Furniture from a Model A

I am in the process of furnishing a new apartment and am curious if anyone has any ideas for "Model A Furniture". I would love to make a coffee table or a bar out of something Model A related, but can use some inspiration. If you have any thoughts (or better yet photos), please post them or PM me.

Thanks,
Seth

Here is the rocking "wheel" chair that I made from Model A parts. It's actually very comfortable to sit on!

Mitch that is awesome! I love this thread. Hope to get some ideas for my downstairs ford room

for the model a hood to stand up without folding up i x'ed two pieces of small square metal across the back and one small piece tacked along the inside of the top

jim thats an awesome chair that i am sure you put a decent amount of time into it.
let me know if you mass produce these as i would want one

Some thoughts: For a round coffee table use a 21 inch wheel and tire with legs to mount it flat, cover with a sheet of glass. Now for the bar given enough room, you could get real inventive. Concrete or better yet, Asphalt counter top. Cover with epoxy coating. Stripe it? Front bumpers for foot rails. Headlights facing down suspended above.

I never saw it, but Parker, the first president of our chapter, sliced off the front end parts of a Model A, right at the rear edge of the radiator shroud & somehow mounted it on a wall. Claude saw it & almost bought it, years ago. He was AMAZED, he even sliced 1/2 of the wheels, tires, fenders, & everything!!!
If I live long enough, I'd like to get the tail end of a coupe & make a wall mounted, sorta' like backwards rumble seat thingy. Buster T. wants me to do real shinin' tail lites on it.

(Saw the one below some time back in MAFCA magazine or their website)---I "think" my Dog:cool: set the "TOE-OUT"!!:D

And surely, there must be "CHICKEN-COUPES" out "THERE"!
My Uncle "Mutt" had a '32 Dodge "CHICKEN-SEDAN" named, "BUTTERCUP"! It had chicken wire, screwed on like a "COP" car, and the windows still rolled up for COLD weather. The hood sides opened to the nesting box area.
I could write a 2 page story about this car, but I WON'T, cuz I type sloooow & so, I'm going to bed with the Dog:cool:! Bill W.

Here's a coffee table built on a V8 block.
It could easily be done with an A or B block also.

Bill -- I would propose the following>>>>Chickens roost in cab, feed through tilt windshield from open gas tank, dropped eggs roll to engine compartment, rumble seat rotisserie. I would also propose that the odds of me finding a nice woman would be reduced greatly if I pursued this concept in my living room.

Mitch and Pete - The radiator shell frame is very cool, as is the engine coffee table. I wonder if i can get a cheap cracked block that has been cleaned up and treated (so not to rust) and just adhere an old windshield to the top. Perhaps use windwings as a lower shelf... hmmmmm.

Jim - that is not something I think I could consider replicating. AWESOME.

This weekend at the local swap meet in Bremerton, WA I saw a coffee table made from a 19 or 21" rim with a circular glass over it. The legs were made from 1/4 inch round steel and looked quite nice with a little flare to the legs. The guy said the most expensive part was having the circular glass cut.

That rocking chair and bathroom sink are just, "Over The Top" ! VERY clever !
I have a shelf made from two '29 "AA" Express running boards (6 ft. long ea.), mounted on V8 Ford transmission housings.
