Full-flow oil filter adaptation...

Looks like it would work. There should be another piece that goes thru the hole in the left side as pictured that would screw into the boss on the valve cover.

actually I ment who sells that adapter valve gallery cover that takes that style I guess plobably all the supplyers but ive never seen it

Most all the Model A vendors sell the valve cover type filter.

Yes Neil it will work, you should have the bolt that holds it on and an O-ring also.

I like to keep mine horizontal, keeps more in the fan slipstream for better oil cooling.
I find there's only about a tablespoon loss of oil when changing after engine shutdown for about an hour. Half the oil in the filter drains very quickly into the valve chamber. Just hold a rag or paper towel under the front of the filter while you quickly spin it off.
You can fill the filter about half way with new oil and spin it on without spilling.
Best part about the filter is it gives another quart of oil in the system.
