Fuel Tanks

[rfitzpatrick]

Is there anyone making new fuel tanks? Is there any place I might send one for cleaning/repair. YES, I'm aware it might be Do It Yourselves. I'm 83 and for me, that's reason enough to seek help.

YES, I'm aware someone might have posted solution already

I too looked at many options for my rusty gas tank as there are no new tanks available. I'm more of a do it once and do it right kind of guy, so I went the Gas Tank Renu route. Was it a pain removing the tank? Yes. Did I have to repaint the tank after the process? Yes. Will I have to deal with this problem for the rest of my life? Nope. One and done. https://www.gastankrenu.com/

Dan Baldwin tells me that this shop in Tampa accepts Model A gas tanks for cleaning (as well as radiators, obviously). Bit of a drive for you but it's the closest place I know.

There is also a shop outside Houston that does gas tanks right (Don Hart's in Waller). You can ship to them. It's really easier to look for a shop near you.
