Fuel Pump Problems

There are different aluminum intakes, some have the lower mounting height, but not all of them. Look at a 34 or 35 'camel back' intake, it has the taller height and takes the longer pushrod.

This factory ALUMINUM intake has the lowered pad and utilizes the SHORT pushrod.

V8Coopman,
On the Canadian intake you have shown: What is the
port on the front top of it for ???

GOOD eye and good question. FACTORY stuff.... this should answer it for you!

You can barely see the factory lid for it just to the left of the air cleaner in this second pic. DD

Installed longer fuel rod and pump working as it should. I now have a problem with the idle set to high and adjusting the set screws on the carb do nothing to slow it?

I sent the Stromberg 97 on the '36 engine that I have in my '34 roadster to Charlie NY several months ago. It only took a week and the engine runs idles and runs great now. The price was reasonable.

CRAIGTERRY, are you adjusting the air/fuel mix screws on the back/base of carb? if so idle is actually set on linkage on pass side of carb. make sure engine is at operating temp before adjusting air/fuel mix screws at base of carb then set idle. you can drop idle speed first a little. Tom.
