Fuel Line

Slide the threaded fitting onto the fuel line leaving just enough of the fuel line extending through the fitting that the ball will go on it and have around 1/8" of the fuel line showing past the ball. Screw the fitting and ball into the carburetor or fuel sediment bowl and tighten the fitting. The fuel line will swell inside the ball when this is done and make a permanent fuel tight fit. Once you've tightened the fitting you can remove it and you will see that the ball will no longer move but the fitting will.
When doing this strive to keep as little fuel line extending past the ball as possible. If fuel line extends too far it can touch the fuel filter screen in the carburetor and restrict fuel flow. Same goes for the line where it goes into the fuel sediment bowl.

Snyders and I am sure others sell gas lines already made up with the correct ends already installed and the correct bends.
