What size fuel line was used on Model T's?? We have to make a new line from a tank under the seat on a 1925 Huckster/Taxi to the carb.

Thanks!!

All Model T's use a 1/4" OD fuel line. You can buy a piece of steel brake line to make one. Don't use copper, it cracks and fails at the most inopportune times.

One other item for the fuel line @ the carb, replace the right angle inlet elbow with a safety shut off valve 6055. Pricey but worth it.

It can be had from several T vendors. I prefer Langs, but Chaffins, Bob's, Birdhaven, among others.

Also, make sure to route and bend the line correctly. It needs to dip downward, and then go upward to the carb to prevent any air pockets.

I bent a line that just ever so slightly came back upward towards the carb, but i didn't notice I put the line connection at the shutoff valve slightly upward from the carb inlet. I had an air pocket at times that would starve the car. I took the line off, made sure the shutoff was facing at a downward slope and made a new line to match.

Also don't use a fuel filter. The sediment bulb is enough to catch debris. When the tank gets low on fuel, it doesn't have enough gravity feeding pressure to push fuel past the filter. Also a lesson learned the hard way.
